About the Organization
Prime Healthcare is a nationally recognized healthcare system based in Ontario, California. The organization runs 54 hospitals, operates more than 360 outpatient sites across 15 states, and serves over 3 million patient visits each year. Prime Healthcare is looking to add talented professionals to its corporate leadership team. This opportunity is for a Chief Operating Officer role within one of its acute care hospitals, with the possibility of future openings as well.
Role Summary
The Chief Operating Officer will provide executive leadership for hospital operations, helping drive performance, strengthen internal systems, and support effective coordination across the management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of internal and external operational processes.
- Work closely with leadership to design and implement plans that support the hospital’s operating infrastructure.
- Participate in high-impact decisions related to workforce and resource allocation.
- Support hospital operations at the executive level and help ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 10 years of leadership experience in hospital operations is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- The selected candidate must complete Sexual Harassment Certification within 6 months and renew it every two years.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated total compensation for this position is between $180,000 and $250,000. Final starting pay will be decided at the time of hiring and may depend on factors such as experience, education, skills, credentials, and licensure.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time position with daytime hours.
