About the Role
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) leads and manages the organization's data security initiatives. Reporting directly to the CFO and as part of the senior leadership team, the CISO serves as the key authority on cybersecurity and data protection, guiding strategy, assessments, mitigation, and compliance efforts. The role champions a resilience-first mindset, focusing on prevention, rapid detection and response, and business-aligned recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a thorough information security strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce security policies, standards, and protocols.
- Perform enterprise-wide risk assessments and prioritize security projects based on identified risks.
- Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
- Supervise secure IT architecture and network infrastructure design and implementation.
- Monitor emerging cybersecurity threats and respond proactively.
- Oversee security operations including incident detection, response, and recovery activities.
- Implement Zero Trust security principles for network and remote access.
- Lead and mentor security teams comprising analysts, engineers, and incident responders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to nurture a security-conscious corporate culture.
- Direct incident response and disaster recovery planning to minimize operational disruption.
- Manage budgeting for security projects and justify investments in technologies and personnel.
- Assess and adopt new security technologies to strengthen the organization's security posture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven extensive experience in information security, risk management, and IT governance.
- Familiarity with network segmentation, resilient backup methodologies, and driving security culture change.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards including NIST and ISO 27001.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills.
- Capability to align security priorities with broader business goals.
