Cashier and Categories Associate

Role overview

The Cashier and Categories Associate will manage customer payments and support accurate stock tracking in a retail store environment. The role combines front-desk cashier duties with day-to-day merchandising and inventory upkeep.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome shoppers warmly and help create a smooth, positive in-store experience.
• Accurately handle payments made by cash, credit card, and debit card.
• Keep the cash drawer balanced and investigate any differences when reconciling.
• Stay informed about ongoing discounts, promotions, and sales campaigns.
• Respond to customer questions and resolve complaints or concerns professionally.
• Ensure each transaction is entered correctly into the system.
• Carry out routine stock checks and maintain precise inventory records.
• Keep the store tidy and well arranged by restocking shelves, refreshing displays, and updating price tags when there are no customers.
• Observe all company rules, including safety and security procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in cashiering or customer service is an advantage.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Good numerical ability and a careful eye for detail.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment and managing several tasks at once.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with cash register systems.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to communicate fluently in both Arabic and English.
