About Centrecare
Centrecare is a non-profit organization employing over 300 staff, dedicated to delivering high-quality professional counselling, support, accommodation, mediation, and training across 11 locations in Perth metropolitan, Goldfields, and South West regions in Western Australia.
Role Overview
The Case Worker will provide direct support to women and children affected by family and domestic violence, enhancing their safety and fostering resilience and empowerment through a client-centered and strengths-based framework. The role aims to improve safety and well-being, reduce domestic violence recurrence, and increase community awareness and support for survivors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop personalized case management plans, deliver ongoing support, coordinate services, and monitor client progress.
- Respond promptly to crisis situations to ensure immediate safety.
- Advocate for clients and assist in navigating complex service systems.
- Represent clients and families in dealings with government departments, agencies, and other programs through referral and advocacy.
- Collaborate with the Safe at Home Perpetrator Response program to monitor accountability and assess behaviors to secure safety for women and children.
Selection Criteria
- Possession of recognized TAFE qualifications in Community Services or equivalent tertiary qualifications.
- Up to three years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with families experiencing family and domestic violence.
- Proven understanding of delivering culturally competent services.
- Experience living and working in remote or regional communities.
