About the Role

HCLTech is seeking a CAE Senior Modeler for its Safety Model Build team in Chennai. This position is focused on vehicle safety model development, with hands-on work in HyperMesh and LS-DYNA.

Experience Required

The role is intended for professionals with 3 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create connection models for different subsystems within full-vehicle safety simulations using HyperMesh in an LS-DYNA solver environment.
  • Maintain modelling standards and ensure the output follows established safety engineering practices before handing it over to the customer.
  • Combine multiple subsystem models into complete vehicle safety assemblies and build executable solver decks for crash scenarios such as frontal, side, and rear impacts.
  • Carry out basic troubleshooting for common safety load cases and, where needed, deliver the model directly to the client.

Preferred Profile

Experience in HyperMesh-based subsystem modelling with connections in LS-DYNA is important. Prior work on subsystem connection modelling and full-vehicle integration in the LS-DYNA solver is required.
