Job Overview
Tata Technologies is organizing a walk-in drive on Saturday, 1st August in Bangalore at their offices located in Salarpuria Supreme, Munnekolalu Village, Varthur Hobli. The recruitment will run from 9 AM to 1 PM and will include profile shortlisting, a technical interview, a tool test, and an HR discussion.
Role and Scope
The position is for a CAD Engineer specializing in sensor modules and mountings within battery pack and energy storage systems. The engineer will handle 3D design, detailing, and integration support for powertrain sensor and electronic modules along with their mounting solutions. Supporting module and system engineering teams, the role ensures high-quality CAD models and drawings that comply with OEM standards throughout the product development cycle from kickoff to start of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies for sensors, electronic modules, and mounting parts using CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE.
- Create 2D drawings incorporating GD&T, tolerances, and adhering to automotive industry standards.
- Assist in powertrain packaging and integration at component and module levels.
- Conduct interference checks, clearance assessment, and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Ensure all CAD outputs meet OEM standards, follow best practices, and conform to naming conventions.
- Support design iterations and engineering changes (ECR/ECO) from project initiation to production start.
- Collaborate with module leads, system engineers, and vehicle integration teams to resolve CAD issues.
- Liaise with suppliers for CAD data exchange, reviews, and updates.
- Contribute to DFMEA processes, design reviews, and build support activities.
- Release CAD data through PLM systems aligned with project timelines.
Tools and Technologies
Expertise in CATIA V5/V6, 3DEXPERIENCE, Vismockup, Teamcenter, and Microsoft Office tools is required.
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related technical discipline is required. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of relevant CAD experience.
