Job Overview
This role involves skilled cabinetmaking within a custom cabinet shop, furniture manufacturing, or millwork environment based in St-Jérôme, Quebec, Canada. The position requires a minimum of three years and up to less than five years of relevant experience. Work is strictly onsite with no remote option. Proficiency in French is required.
Responsibilities
- Operate woodworking machinery such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers to cut and shape parts and components.
- Interpret plans, specifications, or drawings to ensure accurate production of articles.
- Trim and fit joints, assemble parts and subassemblies into complete units, and reinforce joints.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply finishes including veneer, stains, polish, and laminated plastics.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.
Specialization
- Experience specializing in cabinets, furniture, kitchen cabinets, and vanities is essential.
