Role Overview

The Buyer is integral to Mine & Yours’ success, responsible for sourcing, curating, pricing, and authenticating exceptional luxury products in alignment with brand standards and customer preferences. This role blends expertise in product knowledge, market trends, relationship management, and commercial judgment to enhance inventory quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. Operating fully on-site, the Buyer collaborates closely with internal teams and suppliers to seize opportunities, make well-informed purchasing choices, and shape product strategies that fuel ongoing growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and curate luxury items, ensuring precise pricing and authentication to uphold quality and brand integrity.
• Establish and nurture supplier partnerships while negotiating pricing, terms, and consignment agreements to optimize margins and product excellence.
• Utilize insights on resale markets and trends to guide buying decisions consistent with customer demand and business objectives.
• Manage purchasing processes with tools such as Shopify, Reselly, and RFID for accurate inventory monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate across Buying, Inventory, Sales, and E-commerce to streamline product flow and resolve operational challenges.
• Detect and resolve discrepancies within systems to maintain smooth buying and inventory workflows.
• Build trusted relationships with suppliers through clear communication about product needs, pricing, and brand fit.
• Offer outstanding service throughout the procurement cycle, sharing product intelligence and customer trends to support sales strategies and improve client experiences.
• Apply resale pricing expertise to appraise products, determine values, and maintain competitive market positioning.
• Track market trends, competitor actions, and product performance to inform buying choices.
• Analyze sales and sell-through data to refine inventory strategies and enhance profitability.
• Ensure purchases comply with margin targets across buyouts, store credits, and consignment deals.
• Lead key buying metrics ownership, providing insights at departmental strategy meetings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, E-commerce, and Operations to align buying efforts with company goals.
• Drive independent projects aimed at process enhancement, business growth, and development.

Who We Are Looking For

• A minimum of three years’ experience in luxury retail, fashion buying, resale, consignment, or similar product-driven roles.
• In-depth understanding of luxury fashion brands, categories, materials, and current market trends.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate, price, and curate luxury products with strong knowledge of resale value and consumer demand.
• Experience maintaining productive relationships with clients, suppliers, vendors, or consignors.
• Solid negotiation skills to assess value, oversee margins, and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Analytical capabilities to interpret sales results, sell-through statistics, and market intelligence impacting buying choices.
• Acute attention to detail, with authentication and quality control experience considered beneficial.
• Familiarity with technology and systems supporting purchasing, inventory management, and reporting—experience with Shopify, RFID, or resale platforms is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills enabling collaboration across multiple departments.
• Highly organized, flexible, and adept at managing priorities in a dynamic, entrepreneurial setting.
