  • Evaluate each application’s purpose, business value, ownership, lifecycle, integration points, usage, dependencies, and support mechanisms.
  • Create detailed documentation covering current application landscapes, business processes, technology interfaces, data flows, and system relationships.
  • Analyze the portfolio to identify duplication, overlapping features, legacy solutions, technical debt, risks, and optimization prospects.

  • Assess the implications of proposed changes, including potential risks, costs, dependencies, and necessary implementation steps.
  • Develop comprehensive current-state assessments and formulate future-state roadmaps aligned with business and technological strategies.

  • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and long-term objectives.
  • Communicate findings and proposals effectively to sponsors, leadership, and stakeholders to support Operational Technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst focused on application discovery, assessment, rationalization, or technology transformation projects.
  • Background in manufacturing, industrial, production, mining, utilities, or similar operational industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of OT applications and mission-critical production systems.
  • Proficient in assessing application portfolios including ownership models, lifecycle, support frameworks, and integrations.
  • Proven ability to identify and recommend optimization, consolidation, retirement, and modernization strategies.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and workshop facilitation capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving expertise.
  • Proficient in producing executive reports, strategic roadmaps, business cases, and related documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with OT technologies such as SCADA, MES, ICS, Historians, and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience with Application Portfolio Management (APM), Enterprise Architecture, or technology governance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of technology lifecycle management and application governance.
  • Experience contributing to digital transformation or technology modernization initiatives.
