Business Analyst

Overview

Tekgence Inc is seeking a skilled Business Analyst for a contract role based in Mississauga, Ontario. The position requires in-depth understanding and documentation of existing business processes and transforming those requirements into actionable user stories within an agile workspace using Jira and Confluence.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document current business workflows and requirements thoroughly.
• Convert requirements into user stories suitable for agile development cycles.
• Create, execute, and record detailed user test cases to validate functional requirements.
• Engage in the design, development, and implementation phases of system projects.
• Work closely with development teams and stakeholders to ensure the delivered solution aligns with business goals.
• Lead Quality Assurance efforts to verify system performance and adherence to established quality standards.
• Utilize MS Office tools and draw.io for the preparation of process visualizations and reports.
• Apply knowledge of supply chain transportation and replenishment in analysis and solution design.
• Perform any additional related tasks as required to support project success.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 7 years as a Senior Business Systems Analyst with specialized QA involvement for at least 3 years.
• Extensive experience using Jira, Confluence, MS Office, and draw.io.
• Strong familiarity with supply chain replenishment procedures and transportation logistics.
• Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• High-level analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Proven aptitude for multitasking and managing multiple project timelines in a fast-paced, agile setting.
• Retail industry experience is advantageous though not mandatory.
• Proactive self-starter who asks insightful questions and drives clarity.

Desirable Certifications

• Agile methodology certification is a beneficial asset.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) credential is a plus.

Additional Skills and Experience

• 10+ years in senior business analysis or product management roles, particularly with order management and replenishment systems.
• Demonstrated involvement in order management system implementations and retail or distribution replenishment operations.
• Good grasp of agile methodologies and associated tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes including inventory management and order lifecycle.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams through strong communication.

Location and Work Arrangement

This is a contract position requiring onsite presence in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
