Role Overview
The Builder Account Support Specialist is key to managing builder accounts by ensuring order accuracy, tracking project schedules, and working closely with internal teams. The role suits individuals who enjoy solving challenges, thrive in collaborative settings, and are adept at maintaining detailed organization amid a fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with builders, technicians, and internal staff to manage schedules and materials for projects.
- Monitor product availability, project timelines, and order lead times to meet builder deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records and resolve delivery-related issues with suppliers and customers.
- Perform precise data entry and update orders, project information, and modifications.
- Manage spreadsheets and internal databases for builder accounts efficiently.
- Track order statuses and address logistics or vendor-related concerns promptly.
- Provide clear, professional communication and support to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist builders by answering product inquiries, managing timelines, and suggesting substitutions when needed.
- Proactively handle issues to maintain builder satisfaction.
- Identify inefficiencies in current processes and recommend improvements.
- Adhere to procedures ensuring alignment among different departments.
- Resolve potential project complications swiftly and effectively.
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience in data entry, order processing, or related administrative roles.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong proficiency in Excel and ability to work with multiple systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage deadlines in fast-moving environments.
- Preferred experience includes wholesale, supply chain, or construction supply sectors.
- Knowledge of plumbing, lighting, or kitchen and bath products is advantageous.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capability and customer service experience with builders or contractors.
