Role Overview

The Buggy Host plays a central role in ensuring guests experience smooth, comfortable, and personalized transportation around the resort. This position demands adherence to high standards of safety, maintenance, and guest engagement aligned with luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport guests effortlessly among villas, dining locations, and resort amenities.
  • Deliver anticipatory and customized guest service while sharing knowledge about the resort and local culture.
  • Operate electric buggies following safety protocols, resort speed limits, and Saudi Arabian driving laws.
  • Perform daily inspections on vehicles to check battery charge, tire condition, and cleanliness, maintaining top condition.
  • Assist guests carefully with their luggage, ensuring professionalism and care.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office and Concierge teams to manage timely guest pick-ups and drop-offs.
  • Support the resort's sustainability mission by efficient charging and prompt reporting of mechanical issues affecting energy use.
  • Maintain impeccable grooming and conduct consistent with Raffles’ luxury brand standards, making every guest interaction memorable.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree is advantageous.
  • One to two years of experience in a guest-facing role within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Valid driving license issued in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong communication abilities in English; proficiency in Arabic or additional languages is a plus.
  • Creative, guest-focused attitude with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and assist with heavy luggage when needed.

  • Comprehensive understanding of ultra-luxury guest expectations and brand standards.
  • Experience in project coordination, scheduling, and documentation control, particularly during pre-opening phases.
  • Must have prior pre-opening experience.
  • Demonstrates a proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
