About the Role

Subra Scientific Company is looking for a seasoned Branch Manager to spearhead the Sales and Operations functions for its Surgical and Hospital Products division in Pondicherry. This leadership role demands overseeing branch sales, optimizing operations, managing inventory, fostering customer relationships, and guiding team performance to drive profitable growth and ensure smooth daily functioning.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed branch sales and revenue targets consistently.
  • Expand business ties with hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and other healthcare institutions.
  • Supervise and guide the sales, stores, and operations teams at the branch.
  • Manage order processing, inventory control, dispatch procedures, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain strong connections with key customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments, accurate reporting, and overall branch profitability.
  • Keep track of stock levels, operational workflows, and compliance with corporate policies.
  • Provide training, motivation, and mentorship to the team to align with business goals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Preferred educational background includes B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related fields.
  • A robust experience spanning 10 to over 20 years in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or surgical products sectors is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle both sales and operations management in a branch environment.
  • Proven maturity in leadership capable of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Prior exposure to Tender Handling and readiness for local travel for client engagements is advantageous.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership and capability to manage and inspire teams.
  • Expertise in surgical products, hospital consumables, medical devices, or healthcare distribution channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP software, and proficient in MS Excel.
  • Self-starter with the aptitude to independently drive business expansion.
