About the Role
John Paul Construction is dedicated to continuously improving project outcomes by hiring top talent, promoting teamwork, and integrating cutting-edge technology. We are currently expanding and seek a BIM Coordinator to join our team for projects across Dublin and at our Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire BIM process throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop, implement, and uphold the BIM Execution Plan across all teams.
- Ensure all project participants consistently follow the BIM Execution Plan guidelines.
- Organize BIM coordination workshops, documenting progress and outcomes.
- Track and record BIM model statuses diligently.
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to guarantee model accuracy and appropriate levels of detail for each project phase.
- Detect and document clashes between models using Navisworks Manage; lead clash resolution meetings involving design consultants and subcontractors.
- Inform project team members of significant clashes and BIM-related information concerns.
- Monitor shared data linkages such as grids, floor levels, and coordinates between models.
- Define and agree on shared technical specifications, software interoperability, and BIM standards with all stakeholders.
- Supervise the timely and compliant uploading of information models to the Common Data Environment as per the BIM Execution Plan.
- Coordinate and ensure proper handover of models and data at predefined milestones.
- Generate models when necessary to support ongoing design development.
- Maintain up-to-date expertise in the quickly evolving BIM field.
- Perform any additional tasks relevant to the BIM Coordinator role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree-level education in Construction, Structural Engineering, or Services.
- At least five years of professional experience post-graduation in a related area.
- Experience working with main contractors is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
- Expertise in Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Revit Architecture software.
- Strong understanding of BIM processes, standards, and protocols.
- Excellent communication capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
