About the role

Role summary
- Develop AI solutions that improve product monetization, internal productivity, and customer service quality.
- Deliver big data initiatives and data science work that turn information into business value.
- Produce insights that help the business meet its objectives and performance targets.
- Help strengthen the wider AI community and advance machine learning capability across Vodafone globally.
Key accountabilities
- Examine large, complex data sets to spot trends, relationships, and patterns.
- Assist with data extraction and ETL from multiple sources to support domain-based lakehouse architecture.
- Coordinate end-to-end market execution for big data, AI, and special projects.
- Build and deploy machine learning models for different business areas using MLOps practices.
- Explain analytics findings and ML use cases, along with results, to business stakeholders.
Core competencies
- Strong analytical thinking and causal reasoning.
- Confident verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Solid data management capability.
- Ability to anticipate customer, competitor, and market shifts and respond with practical commercial actions.
- Flexible problem-solving approach with agility under changing conditions.
Required qualifications and experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar big data or data science role.
- A degree in a quantitative or technical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of customer-led marketing methods and processes.
- Strong hands-on ability with Python and the broader data science ecosystem, including machine learning and experiment design.
- Practical experience handling structured data tools such as SQL and unstructured data platforms and tools such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Project knowledge or prior project experience will be an added advantage.
