Role overview

Ulta Beauty is looking for a Beauty Advisor to create an outstanding shopping experience for guests in the Bartlesville, OK store. This role blends customer interaction, beauty consultation, sales support, stock upkeep, and store operations. The ideal candidate enjoys the beauty industry, communicates product knowledge clearly, and brings a strong service mindset.

What you will do

• Help the store meet or exceed targets for retail sales, service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and shrink control.
• Welcome guests, learn what they need, and tailor recommendations, service, and product guidance to those needs.
• Answer product and service questions, explain promotions, and suggest complementary items or services.
• Handle sales, refunds, exchanges, and guest support for online orders in a professional manner.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare evaluations, and product demos to support sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Schedule appointments and assist with in-store services and events that contribute to sales and guest satisfaction.
• Keep up to date on new and existing products, including ingredients and benefits, so you can advise guests accurately.
• Show up reliably and on time for scheduled shifts.
• Support an inclusive, team-oriented environment for coworkers and guests.
• Promote the loyalty program, credit offerings, and the Ulta Beauty app when appropriate.
• Work with managers and store associates to help grow the business.
• Take part in ongoing education and brand/category training.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
• Maintain a stocked, organized, and visually ready sales area with available testers.
• Keep the entire store clean and orderly, including the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Support resets, planograms, marketing and advertising displays, inventory counts, and shipment processing/unloading using company technology and best practices.
• Help safeguard company property through strong loss-prevention habits and excellent guest service.
• Complete other store tasks as assigned.

Job requirements

• A passion for guest service and confidence in selling.
• Comfort using basic technology such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Education and experience

• High school diploma preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent mix of education and related experience, is preferred.

Working conditions

This position involves continuous movement throughout the store during the shift, along with frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting. The role also requires ongoing or frequent lifting, carrying, or moving of items up to 25 lbs, plus continuous object handling and coordination.
