Ulta Beauty is looking for a beauty enthusiast who can help create an engaging, high-energy shopping experience. The role is centered on helping guests discover products and services, while supporting a store culture built around purpose, vision, and growth.

Role Summary

The Beauty Advisor is responsible for delivering excellent guest experiences by understanding customer needs, handling checkout duties, keeping merchandise replenished, maintaining a clean store environment, and completing assigned tasks. The position supports store leadership through strong service, sales, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Help the store achieve targets tied to retail sales, service sales, guest loyalty, credit, omni-channel sales, and shrink reduction.
• Welcome each guest, identify their needs, personalize assistance, respond to questions, share promotions, and suggest suitable products or services.
• Handle customer service issues, sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and online order support in a courteous manner.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare evaluations, and product demonstrations to enhance the guest experience and support sales.
• Schedule appointments and assist with services and in-store events that improve guest satisfaction and support revenue goals.
• Stay current on new and existing products, services, ingredients, and benefits so guests receive informed recommendations.
• Keep regular and punctual attendance.
• Support an inclusive workplace that values teammates, peers, and guests.
• Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit offerings and the Ulta Beauty app, when appropriate.
• Work with managers and store associates to help grow the business.
• Take part in ongoing learning, including brand and category education, to strengthen skills and sales performance.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
• Maintain a stocked, signed, and organized work area with available testers.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Support merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory activities, and shipment processing using company technology and approved practices.
• Protect company property by using loss-prevention best practices and delivering strong guest service.
• Complete additional operational work as assigned.

Qualifications

A high school diploma is preferred. The company prefers at least 1 year of relevant work experience or an equivalent mix of education and related experience. Candidates should be comfortable with basic technology such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices, able to troubleshoot issues, build strong customer relationships, and work both independently and as part of a team.

Schedule and Working Conditions

This position requires a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work is performed on-site in a retail store environment and involves frequent movement, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, and continuous or frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs. During the shift, the associate may also need to handle and manipulate objects continuously.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range for this role is $17.13 to $25.00. Actual pay depends on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, job level, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may also receive overtime pay as required by law. Full-time employees may qualify for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage. Part-time employees may qualify for dental, vision, life, and disability coverage.
