Role Overview

The Business Continuity Management Officer supports ASMO in keeping operations resilient when unexpected events or disruptions occur. This role works across departments to build, maintain, and improve business continuity plans, procedures, and response practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, communication, and rollout of a business continuity strategy that fits ASMO’s wider business goals.
  • Help implement continuity initiatives in a way that supports HSSE priorities and broader organizational objectives.
  • Work with HSE colleagues to weave continuity planning into safety programs and strengthen overall preparedness.
  • Make sure continuity practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry requirements, with a strong focus on risk control.
  • Draft and maintain policies, procedures, and guidance that protect people, assets, and operations during disruption.
  • Contribute to a solid safety management system by embedding continuity planning, risk evaluation, and incident response measures.
  • Coordinate response efforts for incidents, emergencies, and accidents, ensuring timely mitigation and closure of continuity gaps.
  • Support sustainability work so that environmental responsibility is reflected in continuity planning and execution.
  • Create and deliver training that helps employees understand continuity concepts and respond effectively in a changing environment.
  • Define, monitor, and report on continuity KPIs and other measures to track progress and highlight improvement areas.
  • Liaise with internal teams and outside stakeholders, including regulators, to keep communication open on continuity-related matters.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized and accredited university, is mandatory.
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, or a comparable qualification from a recognized and accredited university, is preferred.
  • Strong command of spoken and written English is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar or related field is needed.
