Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and service-oriented Bar Back to join our elite Front-of-House team supporting our acclaimed lifestyle dining brands such as SUSHISAMBA, Signor Sassi, and L’AMO. This role demands leadership by example to elevate guest experiences and to assist the team in maintaining the highest luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Head Bartenders, Bartenders, and Bar Managers during service to ensure efficient bar operations.
- Ensure the bar is always stocked with spirits, wines, beers, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other necessary items.
- Restock supplies quickly and with minimal disturbance to guests and bartenders during service.
- Prepare and maintain garnishes, fruits, mixers, and other bar mise en place following established standards.
- Keep glassware, bar tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Help collect, wash, polish, and replenish glassware as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the bar, back bar, storage, and service areas.
- Assist with receiving, moving, storing, and rotating beverage stock according to company protocols.
- Support bartenders during busy periods while upholding speed, organization, and accuracy.
- Participate in opening and closing duties including cleaning, restocking, and preparation for upcoming services.
- Adhere strictly to company policies concerning hygiene, health & safety, grooming, and responsible beverage consumption.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- At least two years experience as a Barback, Bar Assistant, Commis Bartender, or similar position.
- Preferably experience within luxury restaurants, cocktail bars, fine dining establishments, five-star hotels, beach clubs, or premium lifestyle venues.
- Exposure to recognized international hospitality brands is a plus.
- Previous work experience in Dubai or other global hospitality hubs is advantageous.
- Fundamental understanding of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, mixers, and bar operations.
- Knowledge of bar mise en place practices and professional beverage service standards.
- Proficient in English; additional languages are beneficial.
- Energetic, proactive, physically fit with capacity to stand for extended periods.
- Good organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Efficient performance in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Service-minded, positive outlook, and professional demeanor.
- Excellent personal presentation with impeccable grooming standards.
