Role Overview

We are currently inviting expressions of interest for future openings of Associate Territory Manager positions within the Joint Replacement team based in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong technical aptitude who aspire to establish a solid career in medical device sales, focusing on cutting-edge technologies including Mako robotic-assisted surgery.

The recent introduction of the Mako system in Hamilton marks a pivotal moment, offering a chance to join during an emerging phase with significant growth potential in sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during joint replacement operations in theatre settings.
  • Gain proficiency and support the use of advanced surgical technologies, particularly the Mako robotic system.
  • Deliver clinical and technical advice to hospital medical teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, nursing staff, and theatre personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with the Territory Manager to devise and implement strategic plans for the territory.
  • Participate in account management and monitor performance metrics.
  • Manage case preparation, instrument handling, and ensure logistic accuracy for surgical sets.
  • Keep updated with innovations, surgical techniques, and developments in the medical device industry.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess strong technical skills with the ability to quickly master complex systems.
  • Capable of clearly and confidently explaining technical information.
  • Experienced in creating, executing, and managing structured plans.
  • Motivated by achievement and driven to accomplish results.
  • Skilled at building rapport and influencing key stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working within theatre environments.
  • A background in engineering, biomedical science, healthcare technology, or sales is advantageous.
