About the Role
Centorrino Technologies is looking for an Associate Strategy Consultant to join its Consulting team in Melbourne or Canberra. This position sits within technology strategy and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) work, supporting customer engagements across a range of industries.
The role is designed for someone who wants to grow their consulting capability by contributing to research, analysis, stakeholder discussions and documentation while working under the direction of Senior and Principal Strategy Consultants. You will help shape customer strategies, implementation roadmaps, governance structures and risk-focused outcomes, while gaining experience in enterprise technology and regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with building consulting proposals, tender responses, presentations and customer research.
- Carry out research, analysis and stakeholder engagement to uncover business needs and generate insights that support client work.
- Help develop customer strategies, roadmaps, governance frameworks and practical recommendations.
- Support workshops that capture business, technology, process and data requirements.
- Contribute to commercial, procurement and go-to-market activities, including reviewing vendor submissions.
- Assist with organisational change, stakeholder training and implementation efforts that help embed new ways of working.
- Support GRC assignments such as gap assessments, documentation creation, governance activities and remediation planning.
- Work with technical specialists to produce practical, risk-aware recommendations and help drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams while developing consulting, strategy and GRC skills.
Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Science, Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology or a closely related field.
- Roughly 2 years of experience in consulting, advisory work or a relevant technology environment.
- Exposure to strategy consulting, technology transformation or Governance, Risk and Compliance activities.
- Australian citizenship, plus eligibility to obtain an AGSVA security clearance; Baseline or NV1 clearance is considered an advantage.
- Interest in Defence, government and other regulated sectors.
- Working understanding of governance, risk and compliance concepts and frameworks, including awareness of the ACSC Essential Eight.
- Basic knowledge of enterprise technology environments, cloud platforms, cyber security and Microsoft 365.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear, practical advice.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills for communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Good interpersonal skills, curiosity, and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth.
- Ability to juggle competing priorities, collaborate effectively within a consulting team and produce high-quality client deliverables.
