Associate Specialist - Cash Applications

Role Responsibilities

• Verify payments ensuring all necessary documentation such as check numbers and payment amounts are correctly completed.
• Process and allocate incoming cash payments daily to the respective customers and invoices.
• Communicate directly with clients and coordinate with the collections team to minimize unidentified receipts daily.
• Reach out to customers as needed to ascertain accurate payment allocations.
• Maintain customer records and related information within the company’s computer systems.
• Escalate any unresolved issues or concerns promptly.
• Participate in department-specific projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Balance bank statements daily and post payments accurately in ERP systems.
• Investigate duplicate payments and errors made by customers.
• Support month-end closing processes as required.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from Collections and Billing teams.
• Demonstrate adaptability in communication based on customer responses.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours, specifically from 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in logistics or transportation domain, specifically within Order to Cash (OTC) focusing on Cash Application processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to proper spelling and grammar.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and utilize queries in company software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of internal software tools such as High Radius Cash Application (HRC), Oracle, ITSM-ServiceNow, Looker, among others relevant to the business unit.
• Self-driven with a strong eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
