Associate - Investments

Role Summary

This position supports investment portfolio management by reviewing current and prospective holdings, preparing performance reports, and tracking portfolio activity. It also involves keeping accounting records aligned with operational activity and assisting with recurring and annual audit work.

Internal Coordination

The role works closely with the Manager - Investments, the accounting and operations teams, and auditors to ensure smooth reporting, reconciliation, and audit readiness.

Core Purpose

• Assist in managing the investment portfolio by preparing analysis on existing and potential investments, along with performance monitoring and reporting.
• Reconcile investment activity against the accounting records and ensure updates from operations and accounting are properly reflected in the books.
• Support annual audits as well as other recurring review processes.

External Coordination

This role maintains contact with investment and brokerage firms, as well as market information providers such as Reuters and Bloomberg.

External Purpose

• Collect market and fund data, conduct research and analysis, and build insight into market trends.
• Place trading orders when the Investment Manager is unavailable.
• Help maintain an effective workflow by monitoring investment portfolios and financial markets continuously.

The role carries accountability for personal actions and omissions. The incumbent is expected to follow approved safe working methods, comply with training and instructions, and promptly report any accidents, incidents, or near misses. If a situation appears unsafe, work must be stopped immediately.
