Associate - Global Banking Intelligence & Growth Strategy

Role Overview

This position enables close collaboration with senior leadership to drive strategic priorities and develop data-driven growth strategies at a global scale. Key Responsibilities

• Spot actionable opportunities within global banking such as sell-side mergers and acquisitions, take-private scenarios, and IPO prospects by merging internal client metrics with external deal activity, valuation signals, and industry trends.
• Generate market and product insights by analyzing proprietary payment data, public disclosures, and external datasets to uncover opportunities in FX hedging, capital markets, and wider corporate finance.
• Construct detailed models for market sizing, total addressable market (TAM), wallet, and share-of-wallet to guide banker focus and strategic decision-making.
• Track developments in markets, sectors, and capital markets to produce timely insights that shape client engagement and product strategies.
• Design and refine coverage and prioritization models along with territory strategies to optimize resource allocation and revenue efficiency.
• Develop analytical workflows, dashboards, and opportunity evaluations that aid banker decisions at scale.
• Lead strategic and analytical problem-solving initiatives, translating complex data into succinct, actionable recommendations for executive audiences.
• Collaborate across investment banking, corporate banking, payments, and markets divisions to ensure insights align with strategic goals and client interactions.
• Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring analytical diligence, clear outcomes, and alignment with business objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least three years of experience in leading management consulting, premier banks, or private equity with a focus on data-centric strategy and advanced analytics.
• Proven expertise in revenue analytics, market sizing, TAM and wallet modeling, and analyzing capital markets data.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with hands-on experience handling large datasets, reviewing financial statements and public filings, and leveraging AI/large language models for insight generation.
• Proficiency in building data models using SQL, Python, or Alteryx, and visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik.
• Exceptional communication skills capable of converting complex analyses into clear insights and practical recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Experienced in partnering with and influencing senior leaders across banking and product lines.
• Background in financial services with familiarity in capital markets, corporate banking, or payment systems.
• Knowledge of foundational AI and machine learning techniques including natural language processing, time series analysis, supervised learning, and use of large language models.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, engineering, or closely related disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically within financial services focusing on capital markets, corporate banking, or payments.
• Advanced understanding and application of fundamental AI/ML methods like NLP, time series, supervised learning, and LLM techniques.
