Role purpose

This position is responsible for shaping and delivering the commercial agenda for the Snacking & Convenience business unit. It turns the business unit strategy into practical channel plans that support lasting revenue growth, stronger margins, and excellent execution in market. The role also focuses on making trade investment more effective, building channel opportunities, and setting high execution standards, while working closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to keep all functions aligned.

Commercial planning and performance

  • Convert the business unit strategy into annual and mid-term commercial plans across channels.
  • Deliver the business unit targets for revenue, margin, and trade investment.
  • Review performance against targets and take corrective action where needed.
  • Provide commercial input into forecasting and sales and operations planning processes.

Channel strategy and development

  • Create and implement channel strategies for Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-commerce, and Convenience.
  • Expand distribution, assortment, and visibility in key customer accounts.
  • Spot growth opportunities and support major commercial negotiations.

Trade investment and ROI management

  • Plan and control trade spend across channels and customers.
  • Make sure every investment is tied to measurable return on investment and business results.
  • Assess promotion performance and reallocate spend to improve efficiency.

Execution excellence and in-market delivery

  • Ensure commercial plans are implemented effectively across all channels.
  • Strengthen availability, visibility, and activation standards according to business unit priorities.
  • Track execution KPIs and close performance gaps to maintain consistent delivery.

Data, insights, and market intelligence

  • Study performance data to guide decisions and support continuous improvement.
  • Build practical insights on pricing, promotions, and assortment.
  • Monitor competitor actions and define suitable response measures.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure coordinated execution.
  • Align commercial plans with brand priorities, demand planning, and financial goals.

Financial governance and reporting

  • Manage budgets and ensure financial tracking is accurate and timely.
  • Follow company financial policies and governance requirements.

Team leadership and capability building

  • Lead, coach, and grow the Trade Marketing team.
  • Set clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the team.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is required; a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
  • 8 to 12 years of FMCG experience, with strong exposure to Trade Marketing, Channel Management, or Commercial Planning.
  • Hands-on knowledge of major channels such as Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, E-commerce, and Convenience.
  • Good understanding of distribution, in-store execution, and customer behavior.
  • Background in trade marketing campaigns, visibility materials, planograms, and budget control.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Strong collaboration experience across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
