Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to assist in leading our Palmerston North store operations. This role involves collaborating closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, lead the team, and ensure stellar customer experiences in a dynamic retail setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations, contributing towards meeting sales goals and key performance indicators.
• Motivate and manage store employees, providing exceptional guidance and nurturing talent.
• Assist with visual merchandising, maintain stock accuracy, and oversee store presentation to uphold brand standards.
• Help manage labor costs and ensure efficient staff scheduling.
• Coach and mentor staff for professional growth and enhanced performance.
• Maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming store environment.

Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates are proactive emerging leaders accustomed to fast-paced retail environments.

• Previous experience in senior sales, leadership support roles such as Key Holder, Supervisor, 3IC, or ASM is essential.
• A strong commitment to developing leadership skills and passion for team success.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service and drive sales growth.
• Familiarity with stock management, merchandising, and retail operational processes.
