Role Overview

This position supports the engineering and facilities function at JW Marriott in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on keeping tools, appliances, equipment, and life-safety systems in proper working order, while also helping guide and support the maintenance team to deliver reliable service in a luxury hotel environment.

Key Duties

  • Carry out installation, upkeep, preventive servicing, and replacement recommendations for tools, appliances, and equipment.
  • Check and adjust controls, gauges, meters, and similar instruments to keep them operating accurately.
  • Locate, identify, and operate shut-off valves when required.
  • Arrange orders, label items, and maintain stock of parts and supplies.
  • Track inventory and purchase order records.
  • Inspect tools, machinery, and equipment to assess condition and performance.
  • Use computer systems to enter and retrieve work-related information.
  • Operate power lift equipment as needed.
  • Complete life-safety inspections, including fire pump run tests and generator run tests.
  • Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
  • Support the creation of disaster response procedures.
  • Respond to and follow up on guest repair needs.

Supervisory and Team Support
