Job Overview
As Assistant Manager of Utility Operations & Maintenance based in Sangareddy near Hyderabad, you will be responsible for the management and smooth operation of critical utilities such as boilers, refrigeration systems, compressed air, and water treatment plants. Your role involves ensuring 24/7 utility availability to support continuous plant functioning while leading utility operator teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage operation and maintenance activities for utilities including Boiler, Refrigeration, Compressed Air, Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and Carbon Dioxide Recovery Plant
- Guarantee uninterrupted utility services and plant operations around the clock
- Own and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, costs, energy use, and operational efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and supervise utility operator teams across various utility areas
- Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations, safety protocols, and audit preparedness
- Champion continuous improvement processes, energy optimization, and enhance system reliability
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.)
- Hands-on experience in utility operations & maintenance with accountability for utility performance KPIs
- Strong leadership skills with proven capability to manage and guide teams effectively
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude related to utility management
