About the Role
The Assistant Manager Trainer will lead and manage a sizable group of trainees, delivering comprehensive and high-quality training focused on general accounting. This role involves maintaining and updating standardized training materials, proactively identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, and acting as the primary liaison for the UK-based client. You will consistently communicate with various stakeholders to maintain transparency and present performance metrics effectively. Additionally, responsibilities include identifying process improvements such as automation opportunities, setting team goals, conducting performance evaluations, managing team member deployment, and ensuring professionalism and discretion throughout.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a broad trainee group, ensuring exceptional end-to-end general accounting training delivery.
- Monitor and track process performance aligned with a structured training program.
- Maintain and update process documentation with timely approvals.
- Identify and raise potential risks early, proposing mitigation plans.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to promote clarity and transparency.
- Present clear, impactful performance dashboards to key stakeholders.
- Spot and recommend opportunities for process improvements, including automation and transformation efforts.
- Lead the team by establishing clear objectives and effective performance review mechanisms.
- Develop career progression paths and ensure adequate backup within the team.
- Serve as the single point of contact for UK-based client interactions.
- Handle task and team management, inclusive of training and conducting performance reviews.
- Manage bench resources by keeping them engaged and coordinating with stakeholders for their deployment.
- Exemplify professionalism continually and maintain discretion and diplomacy as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 3 years in team leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in training delivery, including preparation of assessments for rapid evaluation and upskilling.
- In-depth knowledge of Record to Report (RTR) or Accounts Payable and Receivable domains.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Experience in operations and delivery management with exposure to end-client interaction.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) degree in any specialization.
