Assistant Manager - Media Analytics and Operations

Role Overview

This position involves active participation in monitoring, analysing, engaging with, and managing various media channels to enhance understanding of Singapore and its policies. The role supports the Ministry of Digital Development and Information's mission to connect communities and government.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and compile media analysis from diverse platforms including print, broadcast, online, and social media, with a specific requirement to interpret Malay-language content.
• Produce analytical reports on current events and media trends and coverage.
• Oversee Duty Desk operations, addressing inquiries from government bodies and media personnel.
• Assist in managing media-related operations for significant national events, including the National Day Rally and Elections.
• Plan and coordinate media engagement activities such as journalist visits.
• Engage in multi-agency initiatives requiring coordination across government entities.
• Execute additional assignments as delegated by the Director.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational background in Communications or a closely related discipline.
• Comprehensive understanding of Singapore's socio-political environment and contemporary issues.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in both English and Malay languages, especially for Malay media content and stakeholder engagement.
• Exceptional analytical and writing capabilities to distill complex topics and diverse views into clear, strategic insights.
• Ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to manage multiple tasks concurrently and adapt swiftly to evolving priorities.
