Job description
Position Overview
The City of Hobart seeks a dedicated Asset Maintenance Assistant to join the Open Space and Parks and Reserves team based at Clearys Gates. This permanent full-time role (1.0 FTE) offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the upkeep and enhancement of Hobart's parks, reserves, and public infrastructure, ensuring safe and enjoyable community spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform both scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks across public assets.
- Inspect public infrastructure and identify necessary repairs or improvements.
- Assist in the implementation and oversight of capital works projects.
- Support and coordinate external contractors engaged in maintenance activities.
- Contribute to playground safety inspections and compliance monitoring programs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver high-quality outcomes that benefit the community.
