About the Directorate
The Standards and Integrity Directorate, part of the Professional Standards and Conduct Division, manages complaints and disciplinary investigations relating to staff in accordance with the Complaints and Notifications Policy. It also conducts reviews into child deaths and serious incidents and ensures compliance with Working with Children Check requirements for staff.
The Directorate fosters integrity by providing education and support that maintains high standards of conduct. It aims to resolve complaints effectively, promote child safety, and mitigate risks such as fraud and corruption through investigations aligned with the Public Sector Management Act 1994, departmental Code of Conduct, and policies from the Public Sector Commissioner.
Role Purpose
This permanent full-time position involves supporting complaint and investigation management through accurate maintenance and administration of a comprehensive case management database. The role ensures proper recording, classification, assignment, tracking, and timely resolution of matters in line with legislation, departmental policies, and Australian Standards for Complaints Handling.
The role provides advice and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders on complaint and investigation issues, assisting senior management in identifying trends, risks, and challenges. Additionally, it aids in policy implementation and improvement initiatives to strengthen complaints handling, child protection, conduct, and integrity processes department-wide.
The position supports senior officers by managing sensitive and urgent cases and engages with external bodies for oversight and regulatory purposes. Through coordinated reporting and exceptional customer service, it promotes transparent, consistent, and accountable handling of complaints and investigations.

Eligibility Criteria
