About the Role

Join Downtown Ford, part of the innovative Downtown AutoGroup, as an Apprentice Automotive Technician. We're a team dedicated to redefining automotive service by combining advanced technology with skillful craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive hands-on training alongside experienced technicians covering all facets of vehicle repair, such as brake systems, transmissions, engine diagnostics, electrical systems, and suspensions.
  • Support thorough vehicle inspections to spot mechanical issues, wear, and safety risks.
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve mechanical faults, maintaining high standards of repair quality.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, battery swaps, and fluid replenishment.
  • Collaborate effectively with service advisors and team members for smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure a safe and orderly workspace by adhering to company and industry safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong enthusiasm for automobiles and intention to build a long-term career in automotive technology.
  • High school diploma or an equivalent credential; automotive vocational education is an advantage.
  • Good mechanical aptitude paired with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
