Application Engineer

Position Overview

This role involves technical responsibility for HVAC application engineering, including heat load calculations, equipment selection, quotation management, and preparation of project files aligned with client specifications. The engineer will support sales processes and ensure timely coordination across departments and stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform heat load calculations and design HVAC solutions when customer schedules are not provided.
• Select appropriate equipment and generate quotations using Zoho software.
• Follow up actively on quotations submitted to clients.
• Prepare technical submittals based on contract specifications and obtain approval from contractors or consultants.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and handover files to the Sales Coordinator.
• Gather equipment specifications from contractors and choose suitable DX/VRF/FCU models in compliance with customer requirements and internal pricing guidelines.
• Utilize CCSI software for product selections.
• Respond to consultant comments with detailed explanations and revisions to submittals.
• Prepare order files for processing and coordinate with the Sales Coordinator for order placement.
• Keep the pending enquiry tracker updated daily with accurate information.
• Manage projects and territories as assigned by management.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in roles such as Application Engineer within HVAC or similar sectors.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, heat load calculation methodologies, and HVAC design using AutoCAD or comparable software.
• Experience supporting sales activities, including quotation development and commercial understanding.
• Familiarity with preparing technical submittals that align with project specifications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
