Longridge Contracting NZ Ltd (LRC) is a specialist company focused on controlling wild animal and plant pests in remote and rural areas across New Zealand's South Island. Headquartered in Amberley, North Canterbury, LRC leads extensive pest management programs aimed at conserving native biodiversity, supporting farming, and preserving high-country environments.
Role Summary
We are seeking dedicated and dependable individuals to join our Wilding Pines crew. This position involves working predominantly outdoors in isolated locations within the South Island and requires physical endurance, a passion for outdoor work, and comfort with remote conditions. Prior experience in wilding pines control, forestry, or tree felling is advantageous but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications
- NZQA Unit Standards in chainsaw operation
- Current First Aid certification
- Basic Growsafe Certificate
- NZQA Unit Standards in 4WD or LUV vehicle handling
- NZQA Unit Standards in tree felling
Conditions of Employment
- Must undergo pre-employment questionnaire and drug & alcohol screening
- Possession of a full Class 1 driver's license is mandatory
- Candidates must be New Zealand residents or hold a valid New Zealand work visa
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home during the workweek; accommodation and daily meal allowance are provided
