Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop impactful Android features aligned with best practices for a product used by hundreds of thousands of doctors.
  • Utilize AI-driven coding tools to accelerate feature design, implementation, and refactoring while ensuring robust code quality and test coverage.
  • Construct scalable, stable, and secure engineering solutions; leverage AI-based observability, crash analytics, and log insights to proactively identify issues in video streaming, background processes, and SQL-intensive workflows.
  • Collaborate with platform engineers and cross-functional teams to ideate and refine user-centric features, improve app architecture, and automate development pipelines.
  • Focus on enhancing app health metrics including crash rates, load times, app size, and memory usage, applying AI-assisted profiling and performance optimization techniques.
  • Build internal applications and tools, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and establish workflows to improve engineering productivity.

Candidate Profile and Expectations

  • Minimum 2.5 years of hands-on experience in native Android development using Kotlin and MVVM architecture.
  • Ability to author precise memory files for AI coding agents, manage AI-driven ideation, optimize SQL queries, and assess solution trade-offs.
  • Self-motivated continuous learner with strong problem-solving aptitude, bias for timely action, and speed in delivering results.
  • Proficiency in UI development using Jetpack Compose with a user-centered design mindset.
  • Expertise in addressing concurrency challenges using Schedulers.io() or Dispatchers.IO.
  • Deep commitment to app stability by managing edge cases and minimizing crashes and ANR occurrences.
  • Desirable experience with Media3/ExoPlayer, Clean Architecture patterns, and strong SQL fundamentals.
  • Passion for personal or open-source projects is valued and encouraged.
  • Preference given to candidates experienced in developing consumer-facing (B2C) mobile applications.
