About the Role
Technique Learning Solutions, a leading training provider specialising in Electrical, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, and PLC skills, is seeking a knowledgeable air conditioning or refrigeration engineer to join their Chesterfield (Clay Cross) centre as a full-time Air Conditioning Tutor / Assessor. This role focuses on delivering both hands-on training and competence assessments for F-Gas and split air conditioning installation courses. Teaching experience is not a necessity; motivated engineers interested in supporting professional development will receive relevant training (such as AET/TAQA/CAVA if required).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead practical instruction in best practices for F-Gas and split AC system installation.
- Demonstrate crucial tasks such as pressure testing, evacuation processes, refrigerant charging, and system commissioning.
- Provide one-to-one coaching and ensure a supportive learning environment for students.
- Assess learners’ practical skills and knowledge according to multiple awarding body standards, documenting all evaluation evidence properly.
- Monitor, maintain, and promote exemplary safety standards and compliance within the workshop setting.
Candidate Requirements
- Solid background in air conditioning and/or refrigeration, specifically with installation experience.
- Up-to-date F-Gas certification and hands-on competence.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills paired with a strong focus on learner support.
- Meticulous approach to health, safety, and compliance in training environments.
Desirable Qualities
- Formal education or assessment credentials (such as TAQA, CAVA, or AET).
- Prior knowledge of VRF/VRV systems.
- Experience in mentoring or delivering training.
Additional Information
- Salary band: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
- On-site full-time position based in Chesterfield (Clay Cross).
- Mentoring available for candidates transitioning from engineering into training/assessing.
