Role Overview

The Afterhours Specialist is a full-time operations support role responsible for track-and-trace activity, maintenance coordination, and driver assistance outside normal business hours. This position is based in Skopje and follows a hybrid setup, combining on-site attendance with some work-from-home flexibility. The role requires close monitoring of shipment progress, prompt response to urgent situations, coordination with drivers and customers, and accurate updates in internal systems in real time.

Key Duties

• Monitor freight status after hours and keep track of shipment movement.
• Respond quickly to urgent operational matters and service interruptions.
• Coordinate with drivers and customers to keep loads moving smoothly.
• Update dispatch and tracking systems with accurate, timely information.
• Communicate changes in schedules and assist with resolution of delivery issues.
• Support safe, compliant, and on-time movement of intermodal and OTR freight.
• Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to maintain uninterrupted coverage.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service ability, including professional phone, email, and messaging etiquette.
• Background in transportation, logistics, or dispatch operations, preferably involving intermodal or OTR freight.
• Availability for after-hours schedules, including weekends and holidays when required.
• Comfort using transportation management systems, GPS tracking tools, and common office software such as Excel and email.
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment when working under pressure.
• High level of organization, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage several priorities at once.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, with self-discipline when working remotely.
• Prior exposure to dispatching, after-hours support, maintenance support, call center, or operations coordination is preferred.
• High school completion is required; additional studies in logistics, business, or a related area are an advantage.
• Strong spoken and written English; additional regional language knowledge is beneficial.

This role supports transportation operations beyond standard working hours and may require flexibility for emergencies, service recovery, and time-sensitive updates. The position is located in Skopje, Skopje Statistical Region, North Macedonia, and is designed for a hybrid work arrangement.
