Department and Employment Details
This role is within the Domestic Recruitment department and is a full-time, regular position operating under a hybrid model requiring on-campus presence 3-4 days each week. The position falls under the collective bargaining unit SEIU Local 500 - Provost & Enrollment Division, which governs terms through university policies and collective agreements.
Role Summary and Responsibilities
- Evaluate and make admission decisions or refer applications for first-year undergraduate students, managing between 1,000 to 2,000 applications annually.
- Undertake recruitment travel including visits to high schools, participation in college fairs, regional interviews, and recruitment events.
- Offer advice and recommendations to prospective students, their families, alumni, and counselors, while conducting targeted outreach activities.
- Lead on-campus and virtual information sessions and interviews, providing comprehensive insights into university programs, student life, and admissions procedures.
- Design and implement recruitment strategies tailored to assigned geographic areas; analyze past results to plan and execute fall and spring outreach activities effectively.

Salary
Annual compensation ranges from $58,000 to $60,000.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, master's degree or its equivalent preferred.
- Less than one year of relevant experience required; preferably 1 to 3 years in admissions or related fields.
- Knowledge of higher education trends and practices.
- Strong writing, public speaking, interpersonal, and computer skills.
- Ability to perform demographic and historic applicant trend research relevant to the university.
- Capability to foster a collaborative, team-centric working environment.

- This role requires work location within the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia or on-site at the university.
