Overview
Amity Foundation is a renowned Teaching and Therapeutic Community dedicated to fostering growth in individuals affected by challenging life circumstances such as addiction, incarceration, homelessness, and trauma. Our Los Angeles location seeks a compassionate Administrative Assistant who desires to contribute to our prison and re-entry programs while gaining valuable experience.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clerical and secretarial support to the Program Director, including documentation, agenda preparation, scheduling, and correspondence.
- Organize and maintain confidential files and records, which may include clinical materials.
- Manage visitor reception, incoming calls, and correspondence routing.
- Participate in committees or meetings as needed.
- Assist with research by compiling and organizing statistical and narrative data for reports and proposals.
- Oversee general filing systems and ensure accurate data entry of administrative records regarding faculty and training.
- Coordinate logistics for routine in-service training sessions.
- Engage actively in Amity's community building events and functions.
- Enhance knowledge of Therapeutic Community program activities through continuous learning and participation in workshops and trainings.
- Potentially serve as a Community Advocate role as requested by leadership.
- Perform other related duties assigned to support the organization’s mission.
