Accounting Assistant

Role Overview

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant with hands-on experience in accounting tasks and familiarity with Tally, ERP systems, or Zoho Books to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This position offers an opportunity for Commerce graduates with up to 3 years of experience to support core accounting functions within a dynamic food industry enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive daily accounting records including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
• Support invoice preparation and verification processes.
• Make fundamental accounting entries relating to GST, covering both input and output aspects.
• Assist in the deduction, recording, and management of TDS for vendor payments.
• Ensure meticulous filing and organization of bills, vouchers, and related supporting documentation.
• Contribute to bank reconciliation activities to ensure accurate financial records.
• Collaborate with senior accountants during month-end closing activities as well as compliance tasks like filing Income Tax Returns and GST returns.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate degree in Commerce is required.
• Experience ranging from no previous exposure up to three years in accounting roles.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, or Zoho Books is essential.
