Internship Overview

This opportunity involves supporting the full lifecycle of modern web application development, including design, coding, testing, and upkeep. Interns will contribute to creating responsive, user-friendly web interfaces and scalable backend systems while working closely with UI/UX teams.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in crafting, testing, and sustaining contemporary web applications.
Create responsive interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and popular frontend frameworks.
Design modular and reusable frontend components adhering to industry best practices.
Develop server-side APIs and functionalities with modern frameworks.
Integrate frontends with RESTful APIs and external services.
Manage data storage and optimization with both relational and NoSQL databases.
Collaborate with designers to ensure responsive, accessible, and engaging interfaces.
Troubleshoot and debug frontend and backend issues efficiently.
Improve application speed, scalability, security, and browser compatibility.
Participate in sprint planning, feature discussions, technical meetings, and code reviews.
Maintain clean, modular, well-documented code adhering to development standards.
Use Git version control to collaborate effectively within a team.
Support deploying and sustaining web applications on cloud and production environments.
Implement authentication, authorization, and user account management features.
Conduct quality assurance testing to ensure reliability and performance.
Stay abreast of the latest web tools and frameworks, contributing innovative ideas to projects.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Solid grasp of web development fundamentals and modern JavaScript.
Enthusiasm for building scalable and performant web applications.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Self-driven with eagerness to acquire new technologies and tools.
Experience or knowledge of modern frontend frameworks like React.js or Next.js.
Basic backend development skills using Node.js, Express.js, or Django.
Understanding of RESTful services and client-server communication.
Familiarity with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Attention to detail and dedication to clean, maintainable code.
Relevant personal projects, hackathons, internships, freelance or open-source contributions are a plus.
A portfolio, GitHub profile, or live deployed applications will be advantageous.
Must be able to work full-time onsite at Kolkata for the entire internship period.
A positive attitude, ownership mindset, and motivation to learn from real-world projects.

Additional Information

Internship Duration: 2 months, with immediate start between August 3 and September 7, 2026.

Location: Kolkata, West Bengal, India (In-office required).

Stipend: INR 2500 to 5000 per month.

Number of Openings: 2 positions.

Workweek: 5 days per week.

Benefits: Certificate and letter of recommendation upon successful completion.
