This remote internship offers the chance to help shape a commercial indie game while building hands-on experience in 3D animation and cinematic storytelling. It is aimed at candidates who want to work on narrative-driven game content and contribute to a professionally released title.

Crux Game Studios is an independent game studio that creates horror and science fiction games with a strong story focus.
What you will work on
- Design and assemble in-game cinematic sequences, including scene blocking, camera movement, and visual composition for story-driven moments.
- Create character animation for gameplay-ready characters and cutscenes.
- Develop facial performances and lip-sync animation so dialogue feels expressive and believable.
- Integrate and polish animation inside Unity or Unreal.
- Edit cinematic and promotional videos using professional video production tools.
- Build or adjust 3D assets whenever animation work requires supporting changes.

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can work remotely, are able to begin between 1 July 2026 and 5 August 2026, can commit for 6 months, and have relevant skills and interest in the role. Required skills and experience
- Strong enthusiasm for animation and cinematography, especially in games and film.
- Prior experience with video editing tools such as DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, or similar software.
- Working knowledge of keyframe animation and core animation principles such as timing, spacing, and arcs.
- Interest in cinematic storytelling, including framing, shot selection, and pacing.
- Understanding of facial animation methods such as shape keys, blend shapes, or FACS concepts.
- A portfolio showing both animation and editing work, including examples like character animation, walk cycles, or cinematic scenes.
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setup.
- Openness to learning, adapting quickly, and applying feedback constructively.
- Bonus: experience with motion capture cleanup, hand-keyed animation, Unity animation systems, visual storytelling, cinematography fundamentals, mocap or procedural animation tools, animation performance optimization, motion graphics, VFX, color grading, or basic sound design.
Internship details
The internship runs for 6 months and starts immediately. The stipend is INR 9,000 to 10,000 per month. The application deadline is 1 August 2026 at 11:59 PM.
