About the Role
Join a dynamic and supportive Youth Justice team based in Whanganui. This casual pool position offers flexible working hours alongside Youth Justice Social Workers to provide essential support to tamariki and rangatahi during critical times. Your main responsibilities will include caring for young people in youth court and community settings, offering emotional support, coordinating transportation to appointments and court appearances, and assisting the Youth Justice team in their daily activities.

Candidate Profile
- Bring a genuine passion for supporting children and youth.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and enthusiasm in your role.
- Have verified experience in caregiving, community engagement, or youth work.
- Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
- Be willing to work flexible, casual hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Possess an understanding and respect for cross-cultural practices, particularly knowledge of tikanga Māori and Pacific cultures.
