Role Overview

We are seeking a Yardperson to join our team at the Canning Vale depot. This role involves supporting yard operations, managing material logistics, and assisting field crews that operate across the Western Power network. The position offers a practical, hands-on role within the electrical supply industry, contributing to the maintenance and transportation of essential infrastructure materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts between depots, yards, and operational sites.
• Operate company vehicles including utes and forklifts to move and deliver supplies safely across Western Power facilities.
• Assist the Storeperson with receiving, storing, dispatching, and tracking inventory items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, storage areas, vehicles, and equipment.
• Ensure timely and accurate provision of materials and equipment to support field crews.

This role involves physical activity, including manual handling, frequent driving, and outdoor work. Candidates shortlisted for this role must complete a pre-employment medical exam, including drug and alcohol testing.

Candidate Profile

• Experience working in yard operations, warehousing, logistics, construction, utilities, or maintenance environments.
• Possession of a current Forklift (LF) Licence and an unrestricted Driver’s Licence.
• Holding a valid Construction White Card.
• Having a HIAB (CV) licence and/or HR licence is highly advantageous.
• A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team setting.
