Role Overview

The position is for a Working Student in Backend Engineering, where you will join the development team to gain practical experience creating complex, large-scale software critical to clinical care. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to build secure, scalable, high-quality software impacts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work closely with the core development team on real product feature development.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain backend and frontend components of Avelios services.
• Learn to build and sustain large-scale clinical software infrastructure.
• Use modern technologies within a healthcare setting with meaningful impact.
• Adopt and implement best practices for secure and efficient software development.
• Propose improvements for performance, usability, and overall user experience.

Candidate Qualifications

• Currently studying Informatics, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a similar discipline.
• Experience programming in at least one of the following: Java, C++, or Rust.
• Previous coding work, such as GitHub projects, is an advantage.
• A strong eagerness to learn new technologies and deepen skills.
• Solution-focused mindset with emphasis on execution and delivery.
• Fluency in German and/or English is required.
