Role Overview

We are searching for multiple Waste Management Operatives to fill both full-time and zero-hours positions. Successful candidates will efficiently handle tasks such as emptying wheeled bins, collecting bulky and clinical waste within the Nuneaton and Bedworth region. Additionally, responsibilities include supporting the street cleansing service through litter picking, fly tip removal, and clearing litter bins.

Working Conditions

The role requires working on designated routes in a team setting, often in a public interaction capacity. Permanent roles offer a 37-hour workweek, with early starts around 6:30 a.m. Overtime, weekend shifts, and working on bank holidays may also be necessary.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of Health and Safety protocols relevant to refuse collection and waste management
  • Experience working outdoors with awareness of moving traffic
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
  • Flexibility and reliability, particularly in pressured situations
