Role Overview
This position is for a meticulous vehicle evaluation professional who will inspect pre-owned cars, assess their condition in detail, and produce reliable reports that help guide buying and pricing decisions. The role focuses on technical checks, accurate documentation, and clear coordination with internal teams.
Core Duties
- Carry out detailed inspections of used vehicles.
- Assess key aspects such as engine health, transmission, suspension, electrical systems, exterior body and paint, and interior condition.
- Conduct road tests to judge overall vehicle performance.
- Apply diagnostic equipment and standardized inspection checklists during technical evaluation.
- Spot signs of prior accidents, repainting, and mechanical issues.
- Compile precise evaluation reports and enter findings into the system.
- Work closely with procurement and operations teams to support smooth vehicle acquisition.
- Follow company SOPs and quality benchmarks consistently.
- Communicate with customers in a clear, transparent, and professional manner.
Technical Knowledge Expected
The role calls for a solid grasp of automobile systems and components, engine diagnosis, vehicle body structure, and OBD/diagnostic tools. Familiarity with spotting accidental damage and flood-related damage is an advantage. Basic computer usage and reporting ability are also needed.
Additional Requirements
- The candidate should be able to drive both two-wheelers and four-wheelers.
- A valid driving licence for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers is required.
- Interest in automobiles and vehicle technology is strongly preferred.
- Comfort with field-based work, rotational shifts, and travel across city locations is expected.
- Graduation is not mandatory for this role.
