About the Role
Join Citi Dublin as a Transaction Manager and play a central role in a leading global financial institution that delivers trusted financial services to enable growth and economic progress. This position is key to supporting end-to-end processes across the loan lifecycle, particularly for complex syndicated and bilateral lending.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage loan origination and lifecycle processes encompassing corporate, commercial, real estate, structured lending, and trade finance, including large syndicated and bilateral loans.
- Design and implement processes, standards, controls, procedures, and training related to transaction management.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members to foster skill development.
- Collaborate closely with originating business lines, credit risk, operations, legal, and other relevant teams to meet strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements through quality controls and data accuracy oversight.
- Develop and maintain operational metrics and perform risk and control reviews to provide transparency across stakeholders.
- Continuously enhance processes, controls, and efficiencies spanning the entire loan lifecycle.
- Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving workflow performance and operational efficiency.
- Act as escalation contact for loan remediation issues and support loan system testing and migrations.
- Maintain active management of the loan transaction closing pipeline, coordinating loan closings and lifecycle events, ensuring documentation and data capture are thorough, and resolving any issues.
- Demonstrate sound risk assessment when making business decisions, uphold ethical standards, and ensure adherence to applicable laws, policies, and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation and assets.
Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive experience in the corporate lending environment, especially with Credit Finance and CLO structures.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines, prioritize workload, and independently complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Experience using Loan IQ and transaction capture tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail and sound problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent client relationship management and solution-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
- Previous management or team lead experience within a large global wholesale lending organization.
- Solid understanding of wholesale loan products, including legal documentation, funding mechanics, deal structure, and fund flows.
- Proven experience working with clients under time-sensitive conditions to facilitate transactions.
- Strong collaboration skills with senior management and business units in steering functions.
- Ability to make critical decisions by identifying, escalating, and resolving challenges.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate and regulatory lending policies and wholesale lending operational processes.
- Focus on achieving or exceeding key performance indicators in a metrics-driven environment.
- Adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time role based in Dublin offers a competitive salary range of €85,600 to €128,400 annually, with annual reviews.
