Position Purpose
The Therapy Business Manager plays a pivotal role in promoting Bayer’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and relevant stakeholders, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets for assigned products within their geographical territory. This role emphasizes excellence in customer engagement through personalized in-clinic promotions focused on patient needs and off-clinic promotional activities designed to enhance customer relations. Strict adherence to local regulations, industry standards, company policies, and the code of conduct is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Achieve targets related to sales, volume, market share, growth, and product listing for designated brands.
- Plan and execute healthcare professional (HCP) engagements aligned with Medical Commercial Coordination Plans (MCCP) by tailoring patient-focused interactions using content suited to HCP priorities.
- Document all customer engagement activities within Veeva CRM and utilize its features to enrich customer experiences.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide timely updates to Field Sales Managers and management to address market dynamics effectively.
- Coordinate and arrange recurring scientific events such as Continuing Medical Education (CME) and scientific meetings for HCP groups in line with marketing strategies.
- Continuously update knowledge on medical and clinical information, brand strategies, competitor landscape, and standardized platforms to foster innovation and challenge existing norms.
- Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams by offering feedback on MCCP strategies, identifying new business opportunities.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, industry codes, company policies, and ethical conduct.
- Manage distribution functions including the collection of Sales & Stock Reports (SSRs), comparing primary and secondary sales, preparing orders from distributors, adhering to sales credit policies, and ensuring phased distribution with a target of completing 40% of targets by the 15th of each month.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; higher qualifications are regarded as beneficial.
- Have 2 to 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience demonstrating consistent performance success.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities.
- Be proficient with information technology, capable of efficiently utilizing computers, tablets, and related technologies.
- Display excellent fluency in the local native language, both spoken and written; proficiency in English is an added advantage.
- Be energetic, enthusiastic, self-driven, well-organized, and prepared to commit to extensive fieldwork.
